Apple russeting can significantly impact fruit appearance, texture, and overall market value. Managing russet is a complex challenge influenced by variety, environmental conditions, and nutritional balance.

Biolchim’s Go-Drip, a foliar complex containing micronized kaolin, boron (B), zinc (Zn), and manganese (Mn), has been used globally to support apple quality and help reduce russet development.

A recent field trial conducted in Fuji apples in Marlborough, New Zealand, evaluated the benefits of adding a Go-Drip program alongside the grower’s standard russet management strategy.

The results showed improved fruit finish and more uniform quality, with reductions in key russet measurements compared with the standard program alone, including further reductions in stem-end russet and cheek russet area.

Go-Drip’s micronized kaolin formulation provides effective coverage without creating visible residues on leaves or fruit, while maintaining photosynthetic activity.
