A recent trial in Hastings tested Kover with the pre-emergent herbicide Stomp (pendimethalin, BASF) across different soil types.

Results showed that adding Kover improved weed control, enhanced herbicide retention, and reduced leaching — especially in high-organic peat soils, but also with solid results in sandy soils.

The optimal rate identified was 1.5 L/ha of Kover with Stomp, delivering the best balance of effectiveness and crop safety.
